Accuracy matters more than preserving an old version of a page.

How corrections are handled

When a material factual error is identified, the page should be corrected promptly and its updated date changed. Minor typographical fixes may be made without a formal correction note.

Material corrections

If an error meaningfully changes a conclusion, calculation, rule explanation or recommendation, the corrected page should explain what changed when practical.

Report an issue

Readers can use the contact page to identify a suspected error. Please include the page title, the statement in question and, where possible, a supporting source.
