An opponent bets 600 and you have contributed nothing on that street. Calling generally requires 600. If you cannot cover the full amount, you may call all-in for your remaining chips, subject to the game rules.
Calls should be evaluated using range strength, pot odds, future action and stack depth rather than curiosity or money already invested.
