Read guide →Double or Nothing (DoN): a Sit & Go format in which a fixed portion of the field, commonly half, receives the same flat payout while the rest receive nothing. The format is also commonly described as a Double Up.
Because all surviving paid positions receive the same prize, the format rewards survival differently from a conventional top-heavy Sit & Go. Near the bubble, risk premium and stack distribution can dominate ordinary chip-accumulation incentives.
In a six-player structure paying three equal prizes, play ends when the fourth player is eliminated. The three survivors do not need to continue to determine first, second and third if the operator uses a true flat Double Up payout.
Operator formats and fees can change. External sources are provided for verification and further reading; strategy explanations and examples here are original and assumption-specific.
